Resolving High CPU Usage with Cambrionix Recorder Service
High CPU usage has been reported while running the Cambrionix Recorder service. There are two methods to address this:
On a Windows machine, you will need to install iTunes. Ensure that you download the version from Apple , not from the Windows Store. The Recorder queries the connected devices to retrieve battery information. If you are using a Windows PC instead of a Mac, iTunes is necessary to gather this information. Otherwise, the Recorder service might utilise high CPU as it struggles to obtain battery details. In such cases, it may become unresponsive and fail to close requests.
Alternatively, you can mitigate this issue by disabling or reducing the frequency of battery updates in Connect. This action will either halt the retrieval of battery updates altogether or decrease their frequency. To do this, navigate to Computers > Localhost (or the computer's name if it's been added to your Connect account) > Settings > Configure Hub API.
