Cambrionix Connect Prerequisites
Cambrionix Connect is a powerful tool that allows you to monitor and control your Cambrionix hub(s). However, to ensure that Connect can connect to your hubs, there are certain prerequisites that must be met:
Cambrionix Hub API
The host system to which the hub is connected must have the Cambrionix Hub API installed. The minimum version required for this API is V3.12.1. We always recommend using the latest available version, which can be downloaded here:
Remote Access
If you wish to remotely access and manage your hubs, ensure that the host API is at least on v3.14 and the hub has a digital certificate linked. More information about digital certificates can be found in the Digital Certificates section of the user manual.
License
Remote access to the hub requires a license. You can obtain information on licenses from Cambrionix by contacting them at sales@cambrionix.com.
Network Access
In order to access a remote API, the device used to communicate with the hub must be able to access the remote API. This can be achieved if:
- The API and device are on the same local network,
- The API is provided with a public IP address, or
- Port forwarding is set up.
